Mentors Needed For the Junior Golf Program
We are in dire need of more Mentors for the Junior Golf Program.
Ideally we ask (not mandatory) that when you commit to being a Mentor that you can commit to all clinic days (5). If you are inexperienced we will be more than happy to show you the ropes and/or send you out on the course with someone who has been a Mentor already. The Mentor must take responsibility for getting the juniors to their assigned holes in a timely manner so as not to delay the program.
Each Mentor has his or her own cart for the morning. On that cart you will provide a score card, evaluation forms and anything else needed. While Mentors are not to be instructors of the golf swing, they are asked to follow the evaluation forms as they relate to the nuisances of the game: etiquette, scoring, behavior on the course, what to do, what not to do, etc etc. Therefore, all this info is to be pointed out to the Jr Golfers along the way.
Common sense is very important to convey to the Jr Golfers. The main reason is safety. For example: we have a "NO RUNNING POLICY" on the the golf course at all times.
Your participation in the Stamford Golf Club Junior Golf Program is what makes it such a success. We sure do appreciate your help!
